We have had a long few days around here, the flu seems to have struck our little corner of the world. Wuzzle has recovered better than I have. (Although, to be fair? She got sick 2 days before I did.)
It’s times like this that life without my husband sucks. I’m on day #2 of not wanting to move from the couch. Day #5 of doing 2 loads of laundry a day, just to make sure my toddler has a clean place to sleep at night, and clean jammies.

Decorating the Christmas TreeWuzzles Favorite part was tying the lights in knots!

A few days ago I did a photoshoot with a beautiful girl. She has hopes of becoming a model and wanted some shots that she could use when approaching modeling agencies.
I am finally working on editing those photos, with vacation I’ve fallen a bit behind. And there are some really amazing photos (I have to brag!) in the set.

In my dreams, I am there again, sitting in the waiting room at the hospital. The sterile scent is so burned into my head that I will probably remember it to my dying day. The pepto-pink walls so engrained within my eyelids that I see them in my sleep.

My throat has hurt consistently for three days now. My nose is runny. My head feels like it could implode at any moment.
I’m listening to Wuzzle in her room, coughing and sneezing in her sleep.
So now, I’m curled up on the couch in my jammies with an nice big mug of hot cocoa! (I hope this makes all the sickies go away!!)

Whenever I bake I keep a special trash bag hooked to the cabinet door, that way I can dump in egg shells and such as I bake. I’ve found this to be a great way to keep the mess minimal for the big cleanup afterwords!
Tonight I was baking some Pumpkin Spice Cookies for Wuzzle to take for their Thanksgiving Party at Little Girl School tomorrow, so I had my bag on the counter as per usual. Wuzzle was happily running around in the livingroom, occasionally coming to me to hold …

Since we missed Hubby’s birthday, we’re getting anxious to celebrate when he gets home! (Which is now looking like it will be on Friday.)
I am making a wonderful dinner. I’ve got his favorite dessert (Mississippi Mud Pie) in the freezer. I’ve got a “special” gift for him. But what about Wuzzle? I can’t very well say my “special” gift is from her.
So, she did what any good daughter would do.
She created a mess masterpiece with finger paints!

For the last 31 days my daughter has had to rely on me for everything. Her meals, her nap time, her diaper changes. And she has done so willingly. She’s been such a perfect angel, hardly fighting anything at all.
Then last night, her dad came home.
It all changed. Immediately.
It wasn’t a slow progression, no warming up required. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot and she saw the big blue truck she was no longer my little angel, she was Daddy’s Princess and nothing else.

Once upon a time there was an adorable little baby who turned 11 months old. In one months time she would celebrate her first birthday, but with the unfortunate condition that her grandparents would not be present for her birthday.
To resolve this delima, her Grandmother decided to throw an 11 month birthday party! Complete with cake and ice cream.

The little princess loved the frosting upon her first bite.

Quickly she found that she much prefered the blue frosting to the white.
