There was an eerie silence throughout the crowd.

Waiting. Watching.

“Is she really going to do it?” The hubby leaned over towards me in disbelief.

She seemed so unsteady, so unsure of herself. Yet so brave and daring all at the same time.

She looked over her right shoulder. No one was there. Then to her left, with a nervous smile.

“She really is going to.” I whispered in slight disbelief.

Then, as if on cue, she slowly but gracefully lifted her hands, high into the air. She took a deep breath, let out a squeal. And promptly fell onto her bum.

Quickly, she scurried back to her original position, intent to repeat again and again.
